Middle Grades Education offers two concentrations: Language Arts & Social Studies and Mathematics & Science. These programs are in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction. The major prepares students for careers in teaching where they can effectively educate young adolescents while being responsible for their unique needs, interests, and abilities. Graduates can earn licensure for teaching grades 6-9 in two subject disciplines: language arts and social studies or mathematics and science.
